Correlation based geomagnetic field model of the holocene core field, based on archeomagnetic and volcanic data. ArchKalmag14k is constructed using methods from Bayesian statistics, in particular Gaussian processes and the Kalman filter, to reflect uncertainties in data and modeling. Additionally to the field coefficients, covarianz matrices and a model ensemble are provided, to be able to include the uncertainties in further processing. The model covers the last 14.000 years, but an analysis shows that only the last 8.000 years can be resolved from the archeomagnetic and volcanic data.
