Für Festkörperanalysen wird eine thermische, verbrennungsbasierte CHN-Analyse organischer Materialien angewendet.

Darüber hinaus kann ein Horiba LabRAM HR Evolution Raman-Spektrometer mit motorisiertem Tisch und Olympus-Mikroskop verwendet werden. Dieses Spektrometer ist mit einem Nd:YAG-Laser mit 532 und 785 nm ausgestattet. Ein LINKAM-Tisch ermöglicht Untersuchungen in einem breiten in situ-Temperaturbereich. Das Raman-Setup wird gemeinsam mit Sektion 3.1 genutzt.
